Sidhant Mohapatra is the most popular hero of all time in oriya film industry. Now he is busy in politics and acting in less films. He is the first oriya hero who has all the qualities to become a star. He is best in dance, acting, action, emotion in everything. His pairing with Rachana Banerjee gave the oriya films a new dimension. Sidhant Mohapatra born at Balugaon, a small town in Khurda of Orissa. He has completed his schooling from St Vincent’s Convent School, Berhampur and graduation in commerce from D.D. College, Keonjhar. He has studied masters from FMS, New Delhi. He has been married to actress Mama Mishra and has a daughter named as Saisiddhi.

Sidhant has no interest in films before. His first break came in 1993 when he is at Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), New Delhi to get his degree in business management. He has acted in a oriya film to keep a request of his cousin brother. That was his first film with Lekha Nanda titled as Shradhanjali. He is 23 years old at that time. He has acted in more than 150 movies till date.

Sidhant Mohapatra joined Biju Janata Dal or BJD in 2009 and contested for MP from Berhampur constituency in 15th Lok Sabha election. He won the election by defeating former central minister Chandra Sekhar Sahu and elected to parliament.
