Bhubaneswar Railway Station is Set to get Rs 205-Crore Multi-Modal Hub

 

 

An ambitious project of the Odisha government and East Coast Railway to give a new look to Bhubaneswar railway station. The East Coast Railway (ECoR) sources said the construction work of the four-storey building will begin soon and the process of selecting tender for the work is going on.

 

Bhubaneswar Development Authority and a consulting firm, the Rs 205-crore multi-modal hub will have a centralized four-storey railway station building with basement parking, an amphitheatre, a mela prangan, Parks, Commercial complexes.

 

The East Coast Railways and the state’s public works department have signed an MoU to build the centralized four-storey railway station building, which will come up after demolishing the present structures. The building will have a basement parking facility for 400 four-wheelers and 5,000 two-wheelers.
