Odisha Govt Introduces Toll-free Number for Drinking Water Grievances
The Odisha government has introduced a toll-free telephone number ‘1077’ in District Emergency Operations Centre (DEOC) in the Collectorate of each district to receive drinking water related grievances from public and monitor the same for redressal.
Special Relief Commissioner and Disaster Management Secretary Bishnupada Sethi, in a letter to all collectors, said the state government has decided that all grievances related to drinking water supply in both rural and urban areas will be monitored on daily basis by the Department of Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water and Housing & Urban Department, respectively during the ensuing summer.
